Our goal at VLS, Inc. is to reduce costs, save time, and improve quality for the loan servicing industry by providing instant access to real estate services and providers nationwide.

By automating the service procurement process, VLS simplifies current business practices while providing value-added services including pre-qualifying, reference checking, competitive bidding, electronic messaging, and vendor performance ratings. With these simple features, what once took several days can now be accomplished in several hours with VLS. All the features provided by VLS are accessible through a web-based application called the VLSGateway.

The VLSGateway provides service buyers with a tool to identify possible vendors, select service vendors, request and accept bids. Service buyers also use the VLSGateway to review vendor profiles and ratings. The primary function of the gateway is to provide direct access to the VLS nationwide database of vendors or the VLS Network.

VLS Network members cover every aspect of property inspection, maintenance, and disposition. All service vendors in the VLS Network are pre-qualified, licensed professionals with verified references. Service vendors in the VLS Network automatically receive service requests from service buyers and are given the ability to instantly submit competitive bids.

ABOUT THE AWARD
The award is designed to recognize actual Realtors and related Real Estate professionals (such as Appraisers, Escrow companies, and a few select others) for the valuable services they provide their respective communities. It is intended to help consumers distinguish these professionals from all of the 'Agent Finder' and 'Referral' sites that have come to dominate the internet.

We strongly believe that many companies are doing a disservice to consumers in their role as internet 'middlemen'. These companies are not in a position to determine who a 'Top Local Agent' is or pretend to know anything of substance about the communities they purport to serve. These companies will give the 'Top Local Agent' title to anyone that is willing and able to pay monthly advertising fees. Our experience is that most consumers appear to be unaware of how this 'referral process' actually works: that it truly is nothing more than advertising.

Distinguishing true Real Estate professionals and their websites is a necessary start to increasing consumer awareness. That is the purpose and motivation for this award.
